Every person involved with a project from the Client (that's you!) right through to the smallest sub-contractor has their own set of statutory duties and responsibilities under CDM 2015.
Many 'designers' remain blissfully unaware of their statutory duties under CDM. Unlike many design practices, Bondstones has undertaken extensive training to implement and relay the complexities of the regulations to all of our clients. If your are a domestic client carrying out work on your own property you can download a quick guide below to outline your obligations under the Regulations. Alternatively ask us during our initial discussion stages and we can fill you on the essentials. Most importantly - Bondstones will advise you on your responsibilities as a matter of course. On engaging our services, you will not be left to your own devices throughout our instruction we will be 'on call' to ensure that you will not fall foul of the Health and Safety Executive! If we are employed as project lead, we assumes the role of Principle Designer for the project as set out under the CDM 2015 guidance. For domestic clients we can also undertake some of your statutory obligations for you - this will make things more straightforward... Commercial clients of any description are recommended to download and read the full Health & Safety Executive guidance (L153) and to take note of your responsibilities before commissioning us (or any other designer for that matter). Contact us if you need any assistance about CDM 2015. |
“IT'LL NEVER HAPPEN TO ME”
Our favourite quote in respect of health and safety...
So eloquently put - by Capt. E.J. Smith... Captain of the Titanic.
We consider safety on our all our projects from the outset to final completion and even beyond: during the buildings useful lifetime.
